Your Role as Food Technology Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, and potentially KS5 for the right candidate.
* Inspire students to understand and appreciate the importance of food, nutrition, and sustainability in the modern world.
* Support students in developing practical culinary skills, as well as an understanding of food science, nutrition, and cultural influences.
* Work closely with the team to develop and expand the Food Technology curriculum, incorporating modern trends and practices in food education.
* Encourage students to take part in extracurricular activities, including food-related competitions, projects, and community outreach programs.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A qualified Food Technology Teacher with a passion for food education.
* Strong subject knowledge in food science, nutrition, and the culinary arts.
* Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
* A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire students to engage with the subject.
* A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
