Role Overview:
As a Product Manager at Accenture Song you will take full ownership of multiple products (car types) in their entirety, working in conjunction with JLR to understand their products and becoming an extension of their own Product team. You will provide specialist technical and detailed product guidance, distributing information throughout the agency network to support product launches. You will localise Master versions of content to create Product correct content for all JLR markets, as well as signing off assets/imagery and launch collateral across the Digital Experience, Configurator and brochure teams.
As the Accenture Song gateway to JLR Product, you will ensure all work is accurate and appropriate prior to Client reviews. You will act as guardian for key internal and external reference tools such as the OXO, product briefs and messaging documents from as much as 40 months out from launch and will work with necessary stakeholders to seek approval.
Responsibilities:
1. Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders, operating as a product advisor both internally and externally
2. Become the font of all knowledge for your product(s), establishing yourself as the “go-to-person” for all Product queries
3. Have an in-depth understanding of upcoming product developments, be immersed in the competitor landscape and innovations within the industry, advising the teams of industry trends and development
4. Take an active role in briefing the team on new product launches, arrange Product walk-arounds, help to identify the hierarchy messaging and the key customer benefits, and provide suggestions for how these product messages can be represented to the JLR customers
5. Be able to review and interpret both the product OXO and accessory AXO to identify specifications by market and ensure that they’re reflected accurately
6. Assist with shoot planning
7. Work closely, collaboratively and flexibly with other departments to review and sign off all content across DX, Configurator, Brochures and ad hoc materials as arranged by Account and Project Managers.
8. Ensure all teams are aligned on launches and provided with key product documentation at necessary touch-points
9. Take pride in ensuring all outputs are accurate and Product are well represented
Person Specification
Experience/Skills:
10. Experience in Account Management or similar role
11. A passion for cars, or proven experience in the automotive industry
12. Proven experience in successfully creating and delivering presentations
13. Confidently able to interpret and simplify complex documents
14. Adept with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
15. Exceptional communication skills- able to communicate effectively with both the client and internal colleagues
16. Able to to work independently and off own initiative
17. Effective time management skills and experience working to a booked schedule
