Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Field based - Northern Ireland
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
The impact you will have
Reporting to the Service Team Leader, you will be fully responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of Arjo and customer current product ranges.
Duties
1. Carry out service & maintenance itinerary in accordance with Company and Service procedures, whilst seeking to optimise use of time and minimise associated costs.
2. Ensure he/she is fully conversant with products working on and Company and local Health and Safety requirements and arrangements so work on customer's premises is done in a professional and safe manner.
3. Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately and within agreed timescales.
4. Inform staff of reason for visit and request permission before carrying out the required work. Ensure work area is clean and tidy, and that disposal of parts and chemicals is in line with site instructions.
5. Provide feedback to Arjo following visits to customers premises, contributing ideas and observations in a professional manner.
6. Maintain an exemplary standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
7. Maintain all tools, spares and equipment in a safe working condition.
8. Liaise with Arjo coordinator and customer contacts to advise intended appointment times and duration of works.
9. Report any shortcomings, malpractice or dishonesty contrary to company policies discovered during duties.
10. Work as part of an on-call rota.
The skills you will need
1. City and Guild/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering - Preferable
2. Mechanical/electrical engineering experience - Preferable
3. Conversant with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 - Desirable
4. Previous Medical Device industry experience - Desirable
5. Excellent written and spoken English - Essential
6. Eligibility to work in the UK - Essential
7. Valid UK driving licence - Required
8. Ability to travel within UKI with overnight stays as required - Essential
9. Enhanced Access NI Disclosure - Required at the cost of Arjo.
10. Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) - Essential
Please note:
Due to the nature of this role, it is required that you live within reasonable travelling distance from the core area of work which is Belfast.
