Apply for this role if you have an interest or experience with the following:
1. Set up, adjust and operate parts to specifications, using various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drills, linishers, and other grinders.
2. Production planning and job scheduling in conjunction with the turbo team leader.
3. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products while working to product dimensions and tolerances.
4. Carry out remedial works such as tapping, Heli coil thread repair, polishing shafts, soldering, flatting faces, and stud removal.
5. Work closely with the Production and Engineering Manager to exchange and implement technical information and processes.
6. Maintain a clean and orderly work area; suggest enhancements to process and machine shop layout and help implement once approved.
7. Maintain all machine tools and equipment on a daily basis.
8. Dismantle equipment where needed to examine for defects or replace broken parts.
9. Respond to other ad-hoc requests made by higher management as required.
For this role, you must have the following essential experience:

3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
4. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
5. Experience or knowledge of using various machine tools such as lathes, cylindrical grinders, milling machines, drills, linishers, and other grinders.
6. Experience or knowledge to produce, fabricate, modify, or repair various mechanical components.
7. Experience in dismantling, cleaning, and lubricating machine tools and equipment.
This position is temp to perm, Monday to Friday, full time.
