The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with organisations around the world, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring that our messages are effectively communicated across a wide range of audiences. This role requires a deep understanding of cross-cultural communication, international media landscapes, and the ability to coordinate efforts across multiple time zones. Key Responsibilities • Stimulate Emission Elimination Plans: The most important role will be to help Civil Society and NGOs around the world prepare alternative emission elimination plans to those prepared by their own government. • Global Communications Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive global communications strategy that aligns with the organisation’s mission and objectives. • Liaison and Partnership Building : Act as the main point of contact between the organisation and key international partners, NGOs. • Content Creation and Dissemination : Create, curate, and distribute high-quality content across various platforms, including press releases, blogs, newsletters, social media, and reports, ensuring relevance to international audiences. • Media Relations : Build and maintain relationships with international media outlets. Develop and pitch stories to increase global visibility and manage media inquiries in a timely manner. • Public Relations and Crisis Management : Monitor and respond to any issues or crises that may impact the organisation’s reputation globally, ensuring consistent and clear messaging. • Cross-Cultural Communication : Adapt communication materials for different regional, cultural, and linguistic contexts while maintaining consistency in the brand message. • Event Coordination : Plan and coordinate global virtual and in-person events, webinars, and conferences, ensuring seamless communication and participation across regions. • Monitoring and Reporting : Track and evaluate the success of communications efforts through metrics and feedback, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management. • Digital Presence : Manage the organisation’s online presence. Skills and Qualifications • Degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field. • 3 years of experience in global communications, public relations, or a related role. • Proven experience in cross-cultural communication and ability to tailor messages for different regions and audiences. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English (additional languages are highly desirable). • Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain international relationships. • Ability to manage media relations with global outlets and handle media crises professionally. • Familiarity with global media landscapes, specifically civil society and NGOs. • Proficiency in digital communication tools (social media platforms, content management systems, email marketing tools, etc.). • Crisis management skills and the ability to communicate effectively under pressure. • Flexibility to work across different time zones and willingness to travel if necessary.
