Job Title: Community development officer
Location: Worksop
Contract: 37 hours a week until 31/07/2025 - Temporary on going
Salary: £26,352 (£21,366.48 pro-rata) per annum + benefits
Job Duties:
* You will be expected to assist the Adult Community Learning Manager to allow the College to deliver its programme and meet its targets for community provision.
* To co-ordinate the day to day correspondence, marketing and administrative tasks for community learning
* To develop long term strategies to meet the community’s skills needs.
* To liaise with community groups and business to build up good working relations and networking
* The role of Development Worker will be diverse, you will be expected to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the community and work with multiple agencies to improve the educational opportunities of its residents.
* You will be expected to carry out tasks as requested by the Adult Community Learning Manager.
What you'll need:
* DBS on the update service
* Experience of community development or a similar type of role
* Experience working in FE or a similar type of environment
* Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
* First Aid at Work Qualification (or willingness to undertake) if required
* Able to work in an organised and methodical manner
* Good interpersonal/communication skills
