We are seeking a dynamic and detail HR Advisor who will focus on delivering comprehensive support across the employee life cycle while ensuring compliance with legislation. The successful candidate will be required to travel to London every two weeks for 1 day. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities and expectations: Facilitate a seamless recruitment and on boarding process to ensure a positive candidate experience and effective integration into the organisation. Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary investigations, hearings, grievances, absence management, and welfare issues, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation. Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive training and development plan. Support programs such as apprenticeships, graduate training, work experience, and student placements. Oversee the leaver process, ensuring proper arrangements, accurate record-keeping, and conducting exit interviews to gather valuable feedback. Coordinate employee appraisals to monitor performance and identify training and development opportunities. Manage employee transfers, promotions, and other changes, ensuring documentation is complete and updates are accurately recorded in HR systems. Provide guidance to employees and managers on terms and conditions of employment, HR policies, and best practices. Contribute to the creation, review, and implementation of policies and procedures to support organisational objectives and compliance. Deliver training on HR policies and procedures to enhance line managers' people management skills. Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure the organisation remains competitive in the labor market and understands workforce demographics. Maintain accurate HR records in compliance with GDPR and quality standards, and contribute to regular reporting as required. Essential Criteria A minimum of 3 years experience in a generalist HR role. Experience in recruitment and selection at all levels, employee relations issues and training and development activities and initiatives. A sound knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice. A professional and organised approach to work. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Full awareness of the need for integrity and confidentiality in HR activities. A good problem solver with the ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner. A pro-active and flexible approach to work with the ability to work with changing demands and priorities. Strong IT skills including experience of HR systems. Commitment to undertake travel as required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.
