An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified High Intensity Therapist to join our friendly, well established team in North Lincolnshire.
The post holder will be part of an expanding NHS Talking Therapies service and will provide high intensity interventions/Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to patients who have a range of anxiety and depression related problems using evidence based interventions. The post holder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. This will involve delivering these interventions via face to face, telephone, video and typed (e-clinics).
Please note: this is not a remote only post and the post-holder will be expected to deliver face to face therapy to patients from the office base as well as working from home and other venues as required and will be expected to travel across the locality.
This role will suit qualified therapists who hold an accredited registration with the BABCP or newly qualified CBT therapists working towards accreditation - this is essential.
As a qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist, you will support patients with a range of psychological disorders at step 3 of the stepped care model (National Institute for Clinical Excellence anxiety and depression guidelines) offering digital and face-to-face assessment and treatment sessions.
You will also undertake a leadership role and participate in a duty rota, offering guidance and support to your Talking Therapies colleagues.
You will also have opportunity to actively participate in different projects and workstreams.
You will also liaise with Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and other clinicians/colleagues in specialist mental health services in relation to patient therapy provision within the remit of the Talking Therapies service, and facilitate the transfer of care between the services as appropriate.
To act as a clinical expert in the field of High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural therapy, providing consultation and education to service colleagues, primary care staff and other relevant stakeholders.
To provide expertise in all aspects of High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to patients.
To provide Clinical Supervision and support to colleagues delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions at steps 3 and step 2 of the stepped care model including step 3 and step 2 trainees.
