A remarkable opportunity is available for a knowledgeable tax manager to become part of the EMEA tax department of a distinguished multinational bank. This role provides the chance to join a global corporate tax team, based in Glasgow and managing Corporate Tax compliance and reporting across 25 jurisdictions for approximately 200 entities. The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of companies and processes within the UK and across the EMEA region.
What you'll do:
As a Manager for Corporate Tax, your role will be diverse. You will manage a varied portfolio of companies and processes both within the UK and across the EMEA region. Your responsibilities will include contributing to various aspects of taxation such as return filings, payments, forecasting, bookings, as well as internal and external reporting. You will have the opportunity to conduct research related to taxation technicalities and participate in project work. Collaborating with wider finance teams will be a crucial part of your role. Furthermore, you will be expected to promote innovation and improve process efficiency.
* Oversee a portfolio of companies and processes within the UK and across the EMEA region
* Contribute to tax return filings, tax payments, tax forecasting, tax bookings, and internal and external tax reporting
* Conduct research on tax technicalities

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Manager for Corporate Tax position brings along proficient knowledge and experience in UK Corporation Tax compliance. A relevant professional accountancy or tax qualification is required for this role. You should have spent 4 to 6 years gaining UK Corporation tax work experience in either Practice or Industry. Strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks simultaneously. An ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment is crucial. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with various teams. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who sets high standards for quality of work, controls and accuracy. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is also required.
* Proficient knowledge and experience in UK Corporation Tax compliance
* Relevant professional accountancy or tax qualification (including ACCA/CIMA/CA or ATT/CTA)
* 4 to 6 years of UK Corporation tax work experience in Practice or Industry
