King’s Sport & Wellness have a mission of delivering unique sport and wellness experiences to unite our communities and optimise our people and their potential. To deliver this mission, we established the Waterloo Sport & Wellness Centre in 2022 and deliver a range of programmes and activities, driving engagement across the University.
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join King’s Sport & Wellness, where this role will be pivotal in helping us achieve our mission to deliver unique sport and wellness experiences that unite our communities and optimise our people and their potential.
The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and developing the Resi Sport & Wellness Programme, with a particular emphasis on delivering wellness activities within our student residences. This role directly supports the department’s objectives of promoting physical and mental wellbeing, fostering individual development, and enhancing community cohesion and social integration.
The post holder will also be responsible for coordinating and delivering the King’s Move App, with a focus on increasing physical activity and enhancing the wellbeing and experience of the King's community, while maximising the reach and impact of our wellness programmes.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until March 2026.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria
1. A University Degree in a related field or a specific, relevant qualification
2. Experience of partnership working, developing and managing relationships
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, coaches, and sports development staff.
4. Substantial experience of physical activity or wellness in higher education or similar organisation
5. Proven experience in organizing and coordinating meetings and events, including liaising with senior staff and external partners.
6. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sport and wellness programmes.
7. A commitment to ongoing professional development in wellness and physical activity.
Desirable Criteria
1. Coaching or Instructor Qualification
2. Experience in managing or working with a digital physical activity platform, including coordination, content delivery, and user engagement.
3. Ability to cover/ or lead sessions in the absence of Activators/ Session Leaders.
