We are currently seeking a proactive Electrician to join a dynamic, multi-discipline maintenance team at a leading independent school in Horsham. Established over 450 years ago, this boarding secondary school is renowned nationally for the quality of education and opportunities offered to its pupils. The Independent Schools Inspectorate consistently rates it “excellent.” As a School Electrician, you’ll be ensuring that the electrical systems are functioning properly and safely across the school’s facilities, based within beautiful and historic grounds. Your duties will generally encompass the regular maintenance of existing systems, diagnosing and resolving maintenance requests, and installing and/or adapting electrical infrastructure as part of repair and refurbishment projects. This will include electrics for domestic appliances; training will be provided. For this role, you’ll need to be comfortable working alone, managing projects and compliance documentation, and working with colleagues from other trade disciplines as part of a strong team. This is a permanent, full-time position: Mon-Fri, 8.00-16.30, with an on-call rota.
