Due to our Nurse Practitioner retiring, we are looking for someone to join our team (16 hours per week, worked on a Monday and Tuesday). We are a well-established undergraduate and postgraduate training practice, with 9600 patients, a full complement of GPs (8). Bennochy Medical Centre is in central Fife, easily commutable from Edinburgh and many areas outside Fife. We Want To Hear From You, If You Can exercise a high degree of personal, professional autonomy as well as having confidence in dealing with face to face consultations, patients with undiagnosed conditions, minor illness and the management of both acute and chronic disease conditions. Either hold an advanced nurse practitioner qualification, be working towards this (and within a few months of completion) or have other relevant, equivalent qualification(s). Have completed an advanced, independent, non-medical prescribing qualification. Have extensive post registration experience and experience within Primary Care (both are desirable, but not essential). Can demonstrate on-going self-motivated commitment to continued professional development. Are able to work flexible hours, according to the needs of the practice during periods of annual leave. Will be enthusiastic, happy to work independently with the support of the wider practice team when required, and thrive on working to high standards.
