As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team responsible for delivering multiple projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will oversee various aspects of project execution from planning through to completion.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:•
Work collaboratively within a team environment following a "one team" culture.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards at all times.
• Be familiar with HSQE management systems and statutory requirements.
• Assume the Project Manager's responsibilities in their absence to manage site operations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, addressing any overruns.
• Prepare and submit detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures during testing, commissioning, and project completion.
• Prepare and submit project handover documentation including O&M Manuals, Safety Files, and As Constructed Drawings.
• Engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and team members effectively to ensure project success.
• Continuously improve standards and keep updated with the latest industry practices through professional development.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering career progression within the company.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:•
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
• Hold at least a Level 7 Honours Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Interest in developing a career within an industry-leading organization.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Problem-solving capabilities and initiative-driven approach.
• Competency in MS Office packages and CAD/GPS usage.
• Valid driver's license.
