Description
The DJ Brand Marketing Manager is part of inMusic's Marketing Team and reports directly to the VP of Marketing, DJ Brands. This role is responsible for marketing strategy, marketing activities, and brand positioning for Denon DJ, RANE, Engine DJ, Numark, Stanton, and SoundSwitch brands.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, communicate, and execute overall brand positioning, product launch marketing plans and communication strategies
* Develop concepts for and work collaboratively with creative teams on video and photography
* Keep projects on target, budget, and time, ensuring quality deliverables that achieve stated business/marketing objectives
* Work alongside Product Specialists in the creation of content, partner onboarding and development of brand and product insights
* Maintain and foster artist and influencer relationships
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional marketing groups on all aspects of brand marketing and communication including: social, email, website, paid media, PR, e-commerce, partner relationships, trade shows, events, and artist relations
* Work with product teams to bring target market data, insights, and new ideas into the product development process
* Continually improve strategies and tactics by analyzing metrics, insights, and marketing best practices
* Stay up to date and inform the broader marketing team on evolving trends, technologies, best practices, and opportunities
* Work collaboratively as a member of a larger Brand Marketing team, sharing and developing best practices and insights with other Brand Marketing Managers
* Assist with trade shows and events, as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Deep understanding and passion for DJing and DJ equipment/technology
* Detail and customer-oriented marketer with strong multitasking and organizational skills
* Natural storyteller and visual communicator with excellent written, oral presentation, and diplomacy skills
* Good understanding of available major marketing channels (with an emphasis on digital)
* Has a passion and curiosity for all things social, mobile, and digital emerging technologies. Keeps abreast of the latest industry news, vendors, and is savvy on social media marketing best practices
* Ability to change direction on a dime and always keep projects moving toward stated goals and objectives
* Outstanding team player, collaborator, and consensus-builder, with a knack for earning respect and credibility quickly from management
* A problem solver, self-starter, and design thinker by nature
* Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple campaigns and have excellent personal organization skills and high attention to detail
* 5+ years of marketing experience
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or other Business-related field of study, or equivalent work experience
* Proven working experience in brand or product marketing
