Key Responsibilities: Routine Inspections & Maintenance: Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and building systems within the hospital. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose faults and promptly repair a wide range of hospital systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, and essential hospital equipment. Critical Systems Management: Ensure that all critical systems such as emergency power, backup generators, and medical equipment are maintained and working efficiently. Emergency Response: Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency breakdowns to minimize disruption to hospital services, particularly in patient-critical areas. Preventive Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance to avoid system failure and ensure all equipment is in good working order at all times. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all hospital health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, report on work orders, inventory management, and update the hospital's engineering systems. Collaboration: Work closely with hospital staff, contractors, and external service providers to ensure that maintenance and repairs are carried out seamlessly. What We’re Looking For: Essential Qualifications & Experience: Relevant engineering qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering). Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, medical gas systems, and general building maintenance. Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency repair situations in a critical environment. Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues in a timely manner
