Carpenter
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Salary: £20.00 – £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent position
A well-established and successful Facilities Management company in Coventry are currently looking for an experienced multi-skilled Carpenter to join their team on a permanent basis.
Qualifications & Experience required:
1. Proven carpentry experience is essential
2. Experience of carrying out a variety of multi-skilled maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and installations would be an advantage
3. Clean UK Driving Licence is required
4. Carpentry experience ideally in a property maintenance or buildings management / FM setting would be preferred
Duties will include:
1. Using a company vehicle to travel to commercial sites across the Midlands and sometimes UK-wide
2. Carrying out a wide range of maintenance carpentry tasks including (but not limited to): re-fixing door handles, re-fitting loose hinges, cupboard doors, shower fixings and hand rails, basic plumbing repairs and installing replacement fittings, toilet seat replacements, re-fixing carpet/carpet tiles etc.
3. Full office refurbishments and installations including; fitting of skirting and architrave, hanging doors, toilet cubicle installation, kitchen cabinetry and counters, IPS panel installations, installation of digital locks, hanging new blinds, ceiling grid installs, etc.
4. Undertaking further training when necessary to be able to deliver the best possible customer service
5. Keeping relevant job information up to date using tablet / laptop
6. Communicating well with both customers and internal staff to keep everyone fully informed of job progress or issues found etc.
7. Carrying out the job correctly, and on a right the first time basis, within a pre-determined timescale

7. A flexible approach to work and working hours will be required from time to time
Additional Information:
1. Working hours are: 40 per week (Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with 30 mins lunch break)
2. Work van provided (not for personal use)
3. 28 Days holiday including Bank holidays
