An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for our established client in Newbury as an Assistant Management Accountant.

Working Hours: 9am - 5.30pm (could be flexibility for 30 hours per week)
Salary: £28k - £35k (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:
1. Ownership of Purchase Ledger - posting invoices, allocations, queries, notify CFO of payments required (weekly and monthly).
2. Employee Expenses - check, process (account for VAT correctly), collate monthly expense claims for Director.
3. Credit Cards - Monthly reconciliation of credit cards, posting entries where required, resolve any queries, ensure VAT invoices are obtained where relevant.
4. Expense Cards - check all receipts received and uploaded by employees, processing all expenses, accounting for VAT where applicable, reconciling monthly statements.
5. Assisting with Sales Ledger / Credit Control to cover holidays and busy periods.
6. Assisting CFO with aspects of month end and management accounts.
7. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
8. Provide support in preparing reports for leadership, including KPIs such as monthly recurring revenue.
Qualifications:
1. Experience of purchase ledger and invoice reconciliation.
2. Experience of processing expenses would be advantageous.
3. Exposure to month end and management accounting.
4. Managing internal relationships and strong analytical skills.
5. Possesses good written and verbal communications skills.
6. Keen to lead on process improvement.
7. Ability to prioritise and execute tasks under pressure.
8. Knowledge of Sage would be advantageous.
9. Knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions including Office 365.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
