You will be required to engage with your teams, as well as internal and external technical specialists, to maintain site utilities including Process Water, Potable Water, Compressed Air, Natural Gas, Process Gases and Effluent Treatment Plants. You will also be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of both site’s overhead cranes and supporting departments and the site though industrial cleaning and building maintenance. You will be actively involved in compliance audits, energy efficiency assessments, overseeing statutory compliance and leading & managing change within your area of responsibility. Leading, mentoring and coaching dynamic teams of highly skilled engineers, craftsmen and tradesmen to develop them into the next generation of leaders of our growing business. Determining the asset strategy and development plan for the sites utilities, improving maintenance standards and procedures. Devise and develop planned audit schedules and ensure that they are implemented to meet Health, Safety & Environmental, statutory, quality and engineering requirements. Identifying and leading the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborating with consultants, suppliers and vendors to ensure services are provided within plan and specifications Ensuring all work is completed as scheduled to quality, HSE standards and on budget. Promote operational discipline and high performance in work execution and enhance the technical skill & knowledge of team members, ensuring they adhere to work standards and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work. Required of the Lead Engineer, Site Services and Cranes You are a performance and achievement-oriented professional with leadership capability, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and providing excellent results. Your previous background in engineering or maintenance will see you well placed for the challenges of this role. To be successful you will demonstrate the following criteria: Relevant qualifications in Engineering (HNC or higher depending on other experience) with at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or technical role. Knowledge and experience of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, and its application in a manufacturing environment. Extensive plant engineering experience, ideally in relation to utilities Detailed knowledge of complex processes, the associated machinery and control systems Well-developed communication and relationship building skills and an ability to work with various stakeholders from diverse backgrounds; An understanding of risk management, auditing processes and experience in undertaking appropriate actions based on audit findings; Strong root cause analysis and problem solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions; Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to resolve conflict and influence outcomes. Experience of leading diverse teams and developing individuals into future leaders. Strong MS Office skills. Experience with a CMMS. The Working Pattern of the Lead Engineer ,Site Services and Cranes The Working Pattern is Monday to Friday 8am- 4pm.
