Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Bickerton Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed HLTA to work 32.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will: be able to build effective working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues and will adapt their approach to meet the needs of all pupils passionate about securing positive outcomes for children. highly motivated, organised, and flexible in the way you work to best meet children’s needs. an effective communicator, highly skilled in building positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and professionals. able to utilise planning and resourcing when covering a class. reliable, flexible, and willing to support the school in moving children’s learning on You will be responsible for: Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion Giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement Providing class cover including PPA, subject leadership time and staff absence Delivering Read, Write, Inc Phonics to a small group daily The successful candidate will: Meet HTLA standards or equivalent qualification or experience Demonstrable levels of numeracy and literacy equivalent to GCSE (A-C) Have previous experience of working effectively within a school setting.
