Our customer is at the forefront of the aviation component MRO market. From their base in the heart of Essex, they have an unrivalled name in today's aviation sector.
Due to growth, they now require a Compliance Manager (Form 4 Nominated Postholder) responsible for the oversight of the company’s CAA Part 145, EASA Part 145, FAA 14CFR Part 145, and CAA Part 21G approvals.
Quality/Compliance Manager Responsibilities
* Be a proactive member of the team and suggest and implement changes to any arising quality/compliance issues.
* Support and promote a culture of safety and quality.
* Establish an independent audit system to monitor compliance of the Part-145 organization with CAA/EASA/FAA requirements, ensuring an audit plan is properly implemented and maintained.
* Continually inform the Accountable Manager of the effectiveness of the Compliance Monitoring.
* Ensure that the activities of the organization are monitored for compliance with the applicable CAA/FAA/EASA requirements, and that these activities are carried out properly under the supervision of the nominated persons.
* Monitor compliance of any maintenance contracted to another maintenance organization with the contract or work order.
* Control and monitor the organization's MOE, including the associated procedures.
* Assess providers of materials, standard parts, components, and contracted organizations for satisfactory product quality in relation to the needs of the organization. Assess subcontractors working under the Compliance Monitoring and maintain the expertise necessary to do so.
* Issue/renewal/cancellation of CAA/EASA/FAA Part-145 certifying and support staff individual authorization.
* Notify the competent authority of maintenance activities conducted outside the approved locations and establish feedback from audit findings into the recurrent training program.
* Establish a documented independent quality system to ensure that each product, part, or appliance produced by the organization or by its partners, or supplied from or sub-contracted to outside parties, conforms to the applicable design data as required by Part 21A.139.
* Implement an independent quality assurance function to monitor compliance with all production procedures.
* Establish an Audit Program for monitoring compliance with P21G.
* Create and provide training to staff members.
* Carry out a continual review of Airworthiness Directives for applicability to the organization.
Experience
A previous CAA/EASA/FAA Part 145 Compliance/Quality Manager (including Form 4) post holder.
Experience working in an Aviation workshop environment.
