Role Overview:
As a Staff Nurse within our In Patient Unit team youll ensure the implementation of a high standard of care within the service. With a strong commitment to providing and ensuring excellent person-centred, safe and effective care, you will be a Staff Nurse preferably with previous experience in a palliative or cancer care setting. An excellent communicator, you will be able to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team. Although this post is based within the In-Patient Unit, opportunities may arise to work alongside other teams in the hospice, our Community Team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based programmes of care with reference to patients, without direct supervision.
2. Coordinating the provision of seamless care for patients from admission to discharge by utilising efficient verbal and written communication practices with all members of the multi-disciplinary team/primary/tertiary care and carers.
3. Acting as Team Leader for allocated patients on a regular basis taking responsibility for patients within the clinical specialty.
How to Apply:
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week on a rotational basis (day & nightshift) and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £34,056per annum + 15% shift allowance for qualifying shifts.
