Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced candidate to join a Greater Manchester Local Authority on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri) on a hybrid basis.
The incoming candidate will assess the need for short breaks, coordinate support services, and work collaboratively across sectors to ensure the right provisions are in place.
Main Duties:
* Manage a caseload of children, assessing needs / eligibility for short breaks and, co-producing plans with families and relevant professionals
* Work closely with education, health, and social care teams to secure and review appropriate provision
* Attend multi-agency meetings, providing advice on short break options and resources
* Prepare clear, professional written reports, assessments, and case notes
* Contribute to the development and promotion of the Council’s SEND offer and ensure alignment with EHCPs and SEN support plans
* Provide support and guidance to colleagues on the short breaks process and eligibility
Essential Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent
* Previous experience in working with children and young people with disabilities or additional needs
