Shared Lives Isle of Wight is looking for an enthusiastic and resilient Social Work Assistant who will share our ambition and drive to ensure that people live as full and independent lives as possible.
We are a small, dedicated, inclusive, and creative team, passionate about making a positive difference, establishing a high-quality service which was rated “Good” across all domains in our first CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection.
This is an exciting opportunity that will see the postholder manage and develop their own caseload of carers which will include, recruitment, assessment, and ongoing support, whilst also having a rewarding career in supporting people looking for Shared Lives arrangements and those in existing arrangements to achieve their dreams and wishes.
Successful candidates will be suitably qualified with a NVQ 3 in Care or equivalent, you must be a car driver with access to a vehicle. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of The Care Act, Human Rights Act, Mental Capacity Act, Data Protection Act, and evidence of ability to work to practice guidance/procedure.
You will be required to work outside of normal office hours as and when required, but specifically on a Wednesday until 20.00.
