Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate / Junior Counsel with approximately 6 years PQE to join their Dispute Resolution team.
The role involves overseeing the preparation and conduct of various proceedings in courts and tribunals, including insolvency matters. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide advice on disputes, potential disputes, enforcement of rights and obligations, and the interpretation of legal documents and legislation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Advise clients on litigation and insolvency matters, in line with internal policies and procedures.
2. Represent the Group in court, with other law firms, government bodies, and relevant professionals.
3. Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business and communicate this within the team.
4. Take instructions from advocates or clients, draft legal instruments, and collaborate with other practice groups as needed.
5. Manage caseloads effectively.
6. Stay updated on relevant local and international law affecting clients.
7. Draft skeleton arguments and submissions.
8. Contribute to Knowledge Management for civil litigation and insolvency.
9. Review documents from other lawyers and provide feedback.
10. Oversee the terms of new engagements and exercise due diligence.
