The Role:
As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will report to the Credit Risk Manager and drive significant change and value for the Bank through analytical projects.
In your day-to-day role, you will:
* Develop expert understanding of the customer management lifecycle.
* Drive optimization of lending decisions through test and learn initiatives.
* Investigate and develop new data sources for analysis.
* Support business growth and portfolio profitability while managing risk.
* Ensure accurate lending decisions through monitoring.
* Provide logical recommendations resulting in customer and/or business benefits.
* Deliver complex analytical projects with customer and business implications.
* Automate and streamline processes for effectiveness and efficiency.
* Provide insight through targeted analysis and development of regular MI.
* Lead projects, ensuring compliance with the risk management framework.
* Contribute to and challenge working practices constructively.
What will make you stand out?
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an analytical/programming role
* Advanced knowledge of SAS and SQL in a commercial environment
* Clear, logical and analytical approach to problem solving
* Strong attention to detail
* Expert knowledge of Excel and proficiency with MS Office applications
* Experience in creating insights from source data with visualisation tools
* Knowledge of data compliance regulations (e.g. GDPR)
* Good risk management skills
* Understanding of Finance terminology and banking regulations
* Knowledge of programming/analytical tools such as R, Python, Tableau
* Experience in analytics related to customer value management
* Understanding of credit card mechanics
* Knowledge of Credit Risk and Credit Decisioning systems
* Understanding of customer journeys and strategy optimisation

* 30-minute call with Talent Acquisition.
* 1 Hour Teams interview with the hiring team.
* Final interview with Head of Credit Risk
