We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and values led Team Leader to provide operational leadership within our Mental Health Support Team (MHST). In this role, you'll lead and supervise a talented team of professionals, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of services to children and young people with complex needs.

Please note although this post is advertised for full-time hours (37 per week), we would, however, consider applicants who would opt for a flexible working pattern.
Main duties of the job
We are hoping that you're a passionate, values driven, and dynamic professional who wants to play an integral role in supporting our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) as a Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative mental health services that empower children, young people, and families.
You will bring:
* A relevant degree (e.g., social work, psychology, nursing) and registration with a professional body (e.g., HCPC, NMC).
* A supervision qualification or a willingness to complete one.
* Accredited training in evidence-based treatments, ideally with BABCP Accreditation.
* Experience delivering CBT, providing supervision, and working with children and young people with complex needs.
* A proven ability to manage teams, work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary settings, and influence positive change.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, Mental Health Law, and risk management strategies.
* Analytical skills, workload planning, strong IT skills and a commitment to using data to enhance services.
You should be flexible, solution-focused, and passionate about inclusive practice. A driving license and access to transport are essential for this role (for individuals who cannot drive due to a disability, we can consider accessibility options i.e. provided via Access to Work etc).

Qualifications
Essential
* Relevant degree (e.g., social work, psychology, psychotherapy, nursing), or equivalent. Must be registered with the appropriate governing body, such as the HCPC or NMC and must be committed to maintaining registration if applicable.
* Supervision qualification, or willingness to complete Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision.
Desirable
* Accredited training in evidence-based psychological treatment, ideally BABCP Accreditation.
* Certificate in Supervision - CBT.
* Masters level qualification in relevant discipline.
* Mentorship qualification or equivalent.
* Level 3 or above Leadership or management qualification or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
* Experience of team management and / or leadership role.
* Knowledge of CBT and previous/current experience of providing CBT.
* Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team including provision of clinical/practice leadership.
* Working in community with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
* Working with children and young people with mild to moderate complex mental health needs.
* Experience of providing evidence-based psychological therapies including CBT.
* Working with young people and/or adults of all ages with behavioural and/or mental health issues and/ or learning disabilities and/or neurodiversity.
* Working knowledge of health, education, social services and the voluntary sector and have the ability to work in partnership with other professionals from a range of multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
* Must demonstrate knowledge of current legislation including the Children Act 1989, 2004, the Human Rights Act 1998, safeguarding of children and adults, Mental Health law and policy and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
* Demonstrate the application of values in mental health practice including the ability to identify, challenge and where possible redress discrimination and inequality.
* Knowledge of safety factors in the management of self-harming behaviours and safeguarding issues and have the skills to be able to apply knowledge appropriately with complex cases.
* Knowledge of a range of mental health models, including the contribution of social, physical and development factors and relevant evidence-based interventions.
* Must be experienced in and able to demonstrate proficiency in case management responsibility including making properly informed independent decisions and communication.
Desirable
* Experience of working with looked after children.
* Experience of working in an educational setting.
* Experience of delivering CBT informed supervision.
* Research and audit experience.
* Experience of developing services.
* Experience of working in partnership with education (schools, PRUs, Special schools, FE colleges) and/or statutory services.
