Job overview
The successful candidate will be a clinical expert in the Neurodevelopmental field of Community Paediatrics and be expected to deliver appropriate subspecialty care in Neurodevelopmental medicine.
The post holder will be a Consultant member of the Community Paediatric Service. Working autonomously, this role will take responsibility for the patients under their care and manage a full range of presentations within the Service.
The successful candidate will undertake independent outpatient clinics, employing the necessary clinical decision skills to formulate appropriate management plans. In addition, the appointee will cover the on-call in hours rota.
Although working autonomously, the post holder will have the necessary understanding of their own limits and seek help when required.
The post holder will be involved with the assessment of children on Neurodevelopment pathways.

* To ensure that the health needs of children within Central Cheshire are met, enabling every child to attain their potential.
* To identify, as early as possible, any children with special needs, providing relevant services and support to minimize the effect of the problem.
* To provide a timely and comprehensive service.

* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Experience

Clinical Skills and Experience
* Experience in making clinical decisions and managing risk.
* Relevant Specialty clinical knowledge.
* Aptitude for practical skills required in the job.
