Job description
The Role
The Communications and Engagement Lead for the Business Improvement Programme will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement and drive awareness of the programme's objectives and achievements. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional communication skills and a strategic mindset to effectively convey the programme's message and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

1. Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to support the objectives of the business improvement programme.
2. Create engaging content for various channels, including newsletters, emails, social media, and presentations, to effectively communicate programme updates, milestones, and successes.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for content creation and ensure alignment with programme objectives.
4. Lead stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, events, and feedback sessions, to gather input and foster a sense of ownership and participation among stakeholders.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust approaches as needed to ensure maximum engagement and impact.
6. Act as a liaison between programme leadership and stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and soliciting feedback to inform programme initiatives.
What BAE Systems are looking for, from you:
7. Proven experience (5 + years) in operational excellence, change management, or organisational development roles, with a focus on communications and employee engagement.
8. Strong understanding of communication principles, change management methodologies, and employee engagement strategies.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
10. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
11. Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and presentation software.

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
