Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a Sports Coach to work as a teaching assistant at a specialist SEMH school in Bury.
The school is for children aged 11-16 years old with moderate and complex learning difficulties, and those on the autism spectrum. Students attending receive a tailored curriculum best suited to their needs and ability and the school offers a fantastic approach to learning.
In this role you will assist the teachers in subjects across the curriculum, which will include outdoor activities and off site provision. You may have the responsibility of taking small groups and planning sessions for those groups. Alternatively, you may be asked to support students within the classroom settings too.
The school are looking for someone who is confident, dedicated and excels with working with children.
The role will consist of:
Providing tailored support with working with children and SEN
Creating a safe environment that allows children to have fun, learn and succeed
Academic support 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assisting the teacherThe ideal candidate:
Someone who can demonstrate the necessary nurturing qualities required to work closely with SEN children
Ideally with previous experience caring for those with additional needs
Teaching Assistant qualification is ideal but not essentialPosition Details:

Hours - 8.30am-4pm

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
