An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and proactive health care assistant to join the rapid intervention team within the community urgent care service. The service responds to patients who require urgent assessments within the community serving the city of Wolverhampton. Our UCR services work with patients in their homes to avoid hospital admission where they are experiencing acute episodes of ill health as well as providing urgent response to our service users who have telecare and require assistance.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant would provide support to clinicians in supporting assessments undertaking simple clinical and therapeutic procedures such as taking clinical observations, obtaining samples, catheter care and venepuncture as well as responding to telecare alarms including supporting patients who have fallen without injury and/or where there is a concern for welfare. Your day will be varied and interesting with opportunity to learn new skills and treat people in a place they like to call home.

Person Specification
* NVQ Level 3 in health and social care
* Experience in health care
* Community healthcare setting
* Experience in looking after acutely unwell patients
