Title: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer
Location: West Yorkshire
Pay: £25 - £40 per hour including holiday pay (TEMP) / £29,638 - £36,349 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
Duration: Part-Time or Full-Time / Temporary or Permanent / Possibly to a permanent contract.
Reed - Further Education are seeking Mechanical Engineering Lecturers to teach on Level 3 Engineering Courses. This will be with post 16 students.
We are looking for anyone who can teach in the following areas:
1. General Mechanical Engineering
2. CNC & Machining
3. CAD / CAM
4. Fabrication & Welding
What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer?
1. Plan and deliver high-quality Engineering lessons to learners at Level 2 and Level 3 level.
2. Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of learners.
3. Assess and provide feedback on student progress.
4. Support learners in achieving their educational goals.
5. Ensure compliance with all college policies and procedures.
6. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
1. PGCE / Cert Ed / PTLLS or other teaching qualification.
2. At least L3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
3. Recent experience of working in the industry.
4. Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
5. Exceptional verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression.
