Responsibilities Responsible for the effective execution on all collections and deliveries, ensuring they are carried out within required timescales for our farm collection vehicle movements, working alongside the wider Milk team. Responsible for executing the daily planning activity, ensuring the most efficient use of vehicles and drivers during collections and deliveries whilst taking account of Working Time Regulations and Drivers Hours Rules, vehicle weights and dimensions and the Road Traffic Act. Supporting on the compliance requirements for the company, as well as directly with the drivers, whether this is investigating events or improving with driving styles. Ensuring all related information is accurately recorded onto company and other IT systems, producing reports as required. Responsible for handling real time communications with our drivers, solving or escalating issues as appropriate where they occur. Supporting with the processing of daily paperwork in relation to milk operations in line with company processes, which will include emailing, filing and scanning. Dealing with customer queries in a professional, timely and accurate manner, as well as liaising with other internal and external customers as required. Support Wm Armstrong departments as needed and within remit of role Process any invoicing requirements in line with company processes Requirements Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous Experience of transport operations is essential Experience of milk operation elements, training can be provided Organised, proactive and have excellent attention to detail Ability to work unsupervised, or as part of a team, and be able to use your own initiative Confident, outgoing personality with a can do attitude Be proficient in using Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook) The role will be working over 7 days on rolling shift pattern of 4 days on 4 days off, working 12 hours per day.
