We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a wonderful primary school in Wallasey. This part-time role focuses on providing support to Year 3 students during their morning sessions, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities for Year 3 students.
- Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, fostering their academic and personal development.
- Help create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
- Support the social and emotional needs of the students, encouraging positive behaviour and interactions.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and parents regarding student progress and well-being.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive approach to learning.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development would be advantageous.

* NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant

* CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
* BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)
We'll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you'll be expected to:
* Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers

* Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
* Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
* Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
