If you are ambitious, inspirational, creative, open-minded and want to be part of our success then we want to hear from you About the role Due to expanding numbers and popularity, we are seeking to recruit an outstanding Social Sciences teacher to join our thriving humanities faculty with the opportunity to teach primarily in Key Stage 5, with the possibility down the line of expanding to GCSE. We are looking for an excellent teacher of Psychology and Sociology, the candidate would be expected to primarily teach both subjects at A Level. We are always looking to expand our offer at both GCSE and A Level and so the ability and enthusiasm to teach other subjects would be welcomed, this could include Law, Criminology, Religious Studies, etc, however, we are more interested in getting the right candidate for the team and so we welcome all applications. Currently both Psychology and Sociology follow the AQA specification. The current Humanities faculty is made up of seven enthusiastic, strong teachers with a variety of specialisms and responsibilities. Humanities as a faculty currently covers a range of subjects and as a consequence, the team work very closely together to support one another. Additionally, the Humanities faculty has been growing and improving in recent years, with the average GCSE Progress score in humanities subjects last year being 0.57, compared with the school's progress score of 0.17. About the College Our College is an oversubscribed 11 to 18 school, which has seen significant improvements over the last five years. The most recent Ofsted inspection rated the school as Good in all areas stating that 'Pupils at College experience a culture of respect and positivity' and that 'Leaders have established an inclusive and calm environment in which pupils can learn'.
