An Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in Bournemouth are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school caters for primary and secondary age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour.
The Behaviour Support Assistant role is an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and support young people to access education. You will offer guidance and support both in the classroom, and also with their social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with their emotional and behavioural needs in both individual and group settings.
Develop and implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teaching staff.
Monitor and record students' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
Assist in the delivery of personalised learning programs, ensuring the needs of each child are met.
Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a SEN setting.
