Quality Systems Compliance Leader / Lead EngineerBased: HertfordshireSalary: up to £35,000 DOE + Bonus + BenefitsQuality Systems Compliance Leader Due to recent Lean tool implementation and Continuous Improvement activities my client is seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated leader into the newly created position of Lead Quality Engineer. The successful candidate for this exciting role will focus predominantly on Quality Systems and Compliance, which will involve leading and co - ordinating improvements in all activities within the business, raising awareness of quality and customer satisfaction, development of problem identification and solving processes, and engaging staff and customers in improvement initiatives. Candidates must have experience of using Quality Plans, FMEAs, Quality tools such as 6 Sigma / other route cause analysis, and Lean tools and techniques such as 5S, and Kaizens. Key responsibilities of the Engineering Quality Leader:Ensure compliance with Quality Systems Standards ISO9001, ISO17025 and TS16949Champion, support and lead quality improvement initiatives within the company and departmentsCreate and enhance a positive culture towards Quality, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activitiesManage and conduct internal auditsEnsure corrective and preventative actions are implementedGenerate data for reports and management review meetingsConduct investigations and observations in work areas, working closely with related team membersEncourage and persuade reluctant and experienced staff to incorporate quality methods and, where necessary, change their current working practicesProvide leadership, identify and deliver training to ensure compliance with Quality Plans and FMEAsEnsure all managers, team leaders, and supervisors develop and maintain their part in the Quality Management SystemFocus on reducing customer complaints, improving productivity and product yields, reducing lead times, increasing revenues and reducing wastage.Support the activities of the Continuous Improvement Manager This is a challenging role: the successful candidate will need to have strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to create a positive culture towards Quality and persuade any staff who may be reluctant to change their current work practices to adopt newly implemented initiatives. We are looking for an inspirational individual who can champion, support and lead quality improvement activities.
