During your first two months with Mobilise you will:
* Meet your team via a mixture of virtual company social events and Teams channels.
* Be allocated a buddy who will guide you through your learning and development pathway.
* Be given a structured training plan to give you the tools you need to become a cloud engineer.
* Join up with the service desk squad (team) and start shadowing the support engineers by joining stand-ups and through pair programming.
* Learn about Mobilise and the company values we all strive towards.
By month three you will:
* Be picking up tasks with the help of your buddy.
* Become more involved in the team and will join customer calls.
* Learn about Agile delivery methodologies.
By month six you will:
* Be working independently.
* Have passed your probation period.
* Understand your objectives and the steps needed to advance in your career.
As a cloud engineer, you will be involved in the following tasks:
* Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS or Azure.
* Pro-active communication of technical problems and issues.
* Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS or Azure.
* Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS or Azure.
* Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on AWS or Azure.
As a cloud engineer, you can expect to work with some, if not all of the following technologies:
* Terraform.
* Kubernetes.
* EKS and ECS.
* Git.
* Ansible.
* Elastic Stack.
* CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and GitLab.
* AWS including but not limited to EC2, VPC, EBS, Transit Gateway.
* Cloud networking concepts.
Required skills/experience:
* 3 years + experience of working in an IT setting.
* Experience of working with AWS and or Azure advantageous but not essential.
