We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable part-time Accounts Payable Office to join our team at Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH). We’re a close team but we’re never exclusive, if you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas we would love to hear from you.
Our team is based at Kent & Canterbury Hospital but we mostly working from home. There will be times when you will be expected into the office for training, in line with the duties of your role, and when requested by your managers. Your initial training for this post will be office-based at KCH with members of the Team.
You’ll work as part of a consortium covering two NHS Trusts and a subsidiary limited company. This will provide you with an exciting opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to support progression within the finance domain.
You will have access to both Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) and East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) job adverts; opening up two NHS Trusts within Kent to you.

In this role as a Payments Officer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to;
• The accurate registering of invoices and credit notes onto our financial system (Unit 4 Busi-ness World).
• Dealing with internal and external queries, in a timely manner.
• Undertaking regular statement reconciliations and action accordingly.
• Working as a team to achieve our month end and year end account closures.
• Adhering to the variety of deadlines imposed on the department.
