We are working with a leading service provider seeking an entry-level water technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers industry-leading training, a progression plan, and the chance to upskill in other areas of FM (mechanical, electrical & plumbing).
Duties
1. Ensure the wastewater treatment plant area is maintained in a clean and tidy state by carrying out general housekeeping on a daily basis.
2. Ensure regular monitoring and supervision of the operation of the plant.
3. Adopt a proactive approach to the cleaning and monitoring of the plant.
4. Proactively remove materials and waste such as pallets, chemicals, and bales to the correct storage locations.
5. Monitor waste storage areas to ensure collections by external contractors are achieved in a timely manner and that other contractors maintain the area in a tidy and safe manner.
6. Supervise chemical and acid deliveries.
7. Conduct audits and inspections of site contractors.
8. Maintain various records and documentation (Maintenance, Reports, Health and Safety, and Quality).
9. Communicate with contractors to arrange deliveries and collections and ensure stocks are kept to the desired levels.
10. Undertake any tasks as designated by the Facilities Manager.
Requirements
1. Career-driven and eager to grow with a company.
2. Knowledge of site-based health and safety.
3. Experience in facilities maintenance (desirable, though not essential).
4. Qualified to GCSE level in Maths, English, and Science.
