Mechanical Estimator As an estimator it can be difficult whether you’re a couple of years into it or fully established and well into your 10th year. A top 10 M&E contractor who specialise in commercial fit out projects is looking for a mechanical estimator to join the team and be trained into a senior member of the team. So if you are a junior estimator or an established estimator in your own right this role could be for you. Mechanical Estimator - The Role: This is a hands-on role with a responsibility for the production of Mechanical tenders. You will have to breakdown client enquiries, organise or complete the required surveys and prepare detailed Mechanical estimates, tenders and quotations to ensure that opportunities are being accurately estimated competitively, successfully and profitably. You will also support the Business in client meetings and estimation/tender presentations to help secure tendered opportunities. Using relevant industry experience, you will be expected to help develop and refine the estimation process to improve efficiency, clarity, and accuracy while reducing overall costs. Project values can be up to £30m and depending on your experience level you will be assisting the team or running your own tenders. Mechanical Estimator - Requirements: As an estimator you would be expected to have a solid understanding of Mechanical estimating and previous experience in the construction industry, ideally as an estimator in a similar role. You would also have an established background in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Project & Bid Management allowing you to understand and interpret detailed Technical Works Scope documentation Identify, quantify and mitigate areas of commercial risk. You will also need the ability to plan workload for yourself with others to ensure delivery to client deadlines. Remuneration: The role includes a competitive salary of between £55,000 to £75,000 (dependent upon experience).
