Recruitment Advisor
We are looking for a Recruitment Advisor to join our excellent in-house recruitment team on an initial 12-Month FTC. Our team is based in both our Nottingham & Manchester offices, and ideally, we would like the opportunity to be together to support each other and collaborate on various projects, at least two days a week. Beyond that, location isn't a factor.
Why is this role important and how does it fit into the team, department & wider firm?
Our talent agenda is at the heart of our Firm’s success. It's no secret that we're an ambitious firm and our vision and culture truly reflect that. At the heart of this is an outstanding client experience, something that Browne Jacobson prides itself on, and it's something that we've become well known for. We believe it's what will support the growth of our business, allow us to do rewarding and profitable work, and create a sustainable business for our people.
But we can't uphold that reputation and grow our business without continuing to recruit some of the very best talent in the legal industry. And that's where our team comes in. We've had some great successes, attracting outstanding talent to the business, gaining recognition for our apprenticeship programme, and recruiting and developing the future lawyers for our firm through our early careers programmes. But there's plenty more for us to do if we're going to help our business achieve its vision, and we need your help in doing that.
The role will be varied and see you involved with business support recruitment across the whole business. We're looking for a recruiter who shares our passion for outstanding candidate experience and client service delivery.
This is a great opportunity for you to take responsibility for the full recruitment lifecycle in a team with a high profile within the business. This will see you working closely with the management team, proactively sourcing candidates, drafting creative advertisements, short-listing and telephone interviewing candidates, providing feedback to all candidates, and managing the offer process.
What are we looking for?
The existing recruitment team comes from very diverse backgrounds, which enables us to add real value to the business. It also means that we're very open to recruiting additional team members from a variety of different backgrounds, whether that's agency, in-house, or more generalist HR. What's more important is that you share our passion and enthusiasm for recruiting the best possible talent into our business, understand what drives the business, and have a range of complementary recruiter skills.
We work with some fantastic people; we enjoy what we do, and we have a bit of fun along the way. But importantly, we're made to feel that we're really contributing to the success of this business.
Our Recruitment Advisors report to the Recruitment Manager and work collaboratively as part of the wider HR department. This role will be responsible for all aspects of attracting talent through effective recruitment and market benchmarking activities and provides the role holder with a platform to make a real difference to the growth of the Firm by providing a high-quality and proactive recruitment service.
To be successful in the role, a candidate will:
1. Demonstrate the ability to successfully own and grow relationships with key stakeholders, giving them confidence that their needs are being taken care of.
2. Network and headhunt through direct approaches, including LinkedIn and other channels, developing and managing multiple discipline candidate pools ensuring each candidate feels individually supported.
3. Work in partnership with hiring managers and HRBPs to identify current and future recruiting needs.
4. Develop and maintain strong agency relationships ensuring the firm is first in line to hear about potential available talent.
5. Work collaboratively with the HR Managers sharing market intelligence where appropriate.
6. Work with the D&I team and external partner organisations to ensure access to diverse candidate pools is part of our strategic approach.
7. Design and manage recruitment campaigns for specific functions within the firm.
8. Produce regular resourcing reports (including diversity reporting) to ensure colleagues are communicated with proactively.
9. Support the Head of Resourcing and Recruitment Manager with intelligence and input for the ongoing development of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Employer Values Proposition (EVP).
