Job Title: Service Manager - Complex Care
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £37,000 to £40,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)
Location: Staffordshire
Aspirations Care is a specialist care provider for people with Autism and learning disabilities across the UK. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Service Manager to join our team. The Service Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the people we support.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in positive behaviour support, managing relationships with key stakeholders such as advocates and family members and do you have a strong knowledge of both autism and learning disabilities.
Do you have experience of developing a team to work in a proactive way and are you able to cascade your own knowledge and experiences of autism to others through staff supervision and appraisal?
Do you have a clear idea of how you can develop and improve the lives of those who are transitioning from a hospital setting to a supported living home?
Have you got the experience of adjusting the way you work to meet the needs of others, whether this be your communication methods, the way you work with someone with a learning disability or someone who at times can struggle physically?
Are you able to demonstrate how to support someone who may become overwhelmed or may show complex behaviours?

Key Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for the overall care and management of the service, the staff team and the people supported
2. To develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring the support provided by the staff team is to the highest standard
3. Along with the person supported implement and develop their person centred care plan, to include their needs and wishes.
4. Promote a positive and supportive work environment for staff and demonstrate effective communication, leadership, and management skills.- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards of care
5. Ensure that accurate and thorough records maintained for the people supported Requirements- previous experience of advocating for people supported and their individual needs.
6. Previous experiences of managing difficult situations at work between colleagues
7. Level 4 QCF/Diploma in health and social care or prepared to work towards
8. Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience in a care setting supporting people with learning disabilities.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Ability to work independently, as well as along side a team
11. Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
