Business Development Director - Renewable Energy - Base £60-80k - OTE £150k

A leading recruitment consultancy in the Renewable Energy and Sustainability sectors is seeking a Business Development Director to focus on high-value business development and strategic client expansion within its contract team.
Compensation:
* Base Salary: £60-80k with uncapped commission (5%-40% on deals).
* Bonuses: Milestone bonuses on revenue targets (100k, 200k, 500k) and annual performance.
* First Year Earnings: Expected £100k+ OTE, with potential for £150k+ over time.

Position Highlights:
* Role Focus: Strategic business development within Renewable Energy, Offshore Wind, and Oil & Gas transition markets.
* Client Engagement: Work with major utilities and Oil & Gas companies to deepen existing relationships and identify high-margin opportunities.
* Team Placement: Positioned within the Contract Team, with a primary focus on SOW projects and comprehensive service packages.
* Reporting: Directly to senior leadership, with influence over contract strategy and business development priorities.
* Expansion: Currently transacting with 138 clients annually, aiming to increase placements per client, which will be a principal focus of the role.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Industry Experience: Proven business development background in Renewable Energy or Oil & Gas, especially with Offshore Wind knowledge.
* Skills: Strong deal-making abilities, strategic client engagement, and ability to assess large-scale client opportunities and supply chain relationships.
* Network: Ideally connected within energy or Oil & Gas sectors.
* Client Strategy: Track record of building pipelines and preparing for high-value bids and tenders.
