Job Title: Production Manager - FoodLocation: Hitchin Salary: £65,000 - £75,000Shift: Monday - Friday (No Weekends) 37.5 hours per week Production Manager Key Responsibilities: ·Oversee and manage all aspects of production operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing processes.·Lead and develop a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.·Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), BRC (British Retail Consortium), and BRCGS (Global Standards) food safety standards.·Monitor production schedules, ensuring that output targets are met while maintaining product quality.·Implement and enforce health and safety guidelines across production areas.·Identify and address any production issues or bottlenecks, recommending improvements for efficiency.·Manage and maintain equipment, machinery, and production tools, ensuring they are kept in optimal condition.·Collaborate closely with quality assurance, supply chain, and other departments to maintain operational excellence.·Prepare reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and cost. Production Manager Requirements: ·Proven experience in a Production Manager role within the Food & Beverage/ FMCG/ Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry.·Strong knowledge and experience with GMP, BRC, and BRCGS standards and certifications.·Excellent leadership and team management skills.·Ability to problem-solve and drive continuous improvement initiatives.·Strong communication and organisational skills.·A proactive, hands-on approach to managing daily operations.·Familiarity with managing production budgets and cost control.·A relevant qualification in food technology, engineering, or production management is desirable.
