The Role:
If you are practically minded, able to work as part of a team, enjoy a mixture of outside and office-based work, are good at dealing with people and would like to help maintain the 8,000+km of highways in the beautiful County of Hampshire, then this exciting role is definitely for you.
As an Advanced Technician, you will be assisting engineers in delivering a large variety of highway repairs throughout Hampshire as well as dealing with highway emergencies, adverse weather response and highway enforcement to enable the efficient use of Hampshire’s highway network.
You will have the ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the role (it is essential that you have a full current UK drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis), and, as required, be able to work out of hours to respond to weather and other emergencies.

This position provides an opportunity for you to attend training and complete a Level 3 Civil Engineer Technician apprenticeship, to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours as set out in the apprenticeship standard.
