What You Will Do:
* Perform in-vehicle and rig-based gearbox calibration to enhance shift quality and fuel efficiency.
* Engage in requirements capture, specification building, and the development of transmission control systems for off-highway vehicles.
* Develop control strategies and analyse vehicle and rig-based data to ensure optimal performance.
* Assist with rig and vehicle testing, working closely with the mechanical design team for seamless integration.
* Provide service and customer support for legacy control systems and components.
* Liaise with hardware and software suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
What You Will Bring:
* A Degree/HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in the calibration of vehicle control systems, such as powertrain or chassis. Transmission or Driveline would be preference.
* Proficiency in CAN-based vehicle systems and associated tools, including CAN analysis software.
* Knowledge of automotive electronics, sensors, control units, and vehicle diagnostics.
* Competent problem-solving techniques and the ability to plan and organise work schedules to meet deadlines.
