Talent Acquisition Executive at Apprentify: Developing Future Talent
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to drive growth by identifying and securing bid opportunities across the education and commercial sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) to ensure bids align with industry needs and funding priorities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and managing bid submissions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and client needs. Additionally, you will be expected to stay updated on education policy, business trends, and market shifts to inform strategy and improve win rates.
Working from our Wilmslow office, you will collaborate closely with internal teams to craft compelling proposals, manage procurement processes, and support business development efforts. This role reports directly to the CFO.
Main Responsibilities
1. Bid Research & Identification: Proactively search for bid opportunities within education, training, and commercial sectors, including government and private sector contracts.
2. LMI Research & Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing research into Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) to identify trends, skill gaps, funding priorities, and employer needs that can strengthen bid submissions.
3. Bid Writing & Submission: Lead the development of high-quality, persuasive bids that effectively communicate Apprentify Group’s strengths and value propositions.
4. Educational & Business Trend Awareness: Stay informed on education policy changes, funding opportunities, and commercial industry shifts to enhance bid relevance.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, operational leads, and sales teams to gather relevant information and ensure compelling bid responses.
6. Procurement Support: Manage procurement questionnaires and provide accurate, well-structured responses to client requests for organisational information.
7. Content Management: Develop and maintain a repository of bid content, case studies, and testimonials to support future submissions.
8. Post-Tender Review: Conduct bid evaluations to identify areas for improvement, enhancing future success rates.
9. AI Integration: Utilise AI tools to optimise bid processes, improve efficiency, and enhance proposal quality.
Job Requirements
1. Proven experience in bid writing, particularly within the education, skills, training, or commercial sectors.
2. Ability to analyse Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) and industry data to strengthen bid content and strategy.
3. Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
4. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritise effectively, and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with bid management software/tools.
6. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering winning bids.
7. Experience in digital, tech skills, and leadership training.
8. Experience in leveraging AI-driven tools to streamline bid writing and enhance submission quality.
Success Measures
1. Win rate of over 50% of submitted bids.
2. Successful bids are commercially viable, deliverable and in line with business strategy.
3. Revenue generated from bid submissions is in line with financial targets.
Other Details
This is a full-time position. The postholder will be required to work at our Wilmslow Head Office a minimum of four days per week.
