Turner Schools is looking to appoint a Teacher of Science to work in our Secondary Schools in Folkestone and Dover.
As a faculty, we are committed to supporting our pupils in becoming confident in their own ability, with a sense of purpose and a vision for their futures. We want all of our pupils to be successful, achieving qualifications that prepare them to succeed in their ambitions. We have high expectations of all our pupils; our behaviour policies assure the highest expectations of behaviour in and out of lessons, creating a calm and purposeful learning environment.
We are looking for an inspirational Science Teacher, who is highly motivated and dedicated. The right candidate would have a passion for powerful education and research and must be able to translate that to the classroom.
The Science Teams at Folkestone Academy, Dover Christ Church Academy, and Turner Free School are used to working collaboratively, so you would be supported by your school team as well as the wider Trust Science department and Cross Trust Director. Our ability to offer an exceptional level of specialist support means that this role could be suitable for an ECT. However, for the right candidate, who is a dynamic and experienced Science Teacher, there could be an opportunity to take on an appropriate responsibility within the department.
The Turner Schools community strongly believes that its purpose is to serve the young people of the local coastal community with a powerful education. Come and join us to be a part of our journey to transform children’s futures, empower families, and strengthen our community.
If you would like to discuss this role further, please contact the Trust Director of Science: kelly.corroyer@turnerschools.com
