2 Sisters Food Group are recruiting for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join our meals manufacturing operation. Based out of Grimsby this role will play a key part in supporting our operations nationwide.

Our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby, a state-of-the-art CIP plant producing premium quality chilled soups and sauces. The site currently employs around 200 people, whilst turning over £30 million.

About the Role:
As Operations Manager you will manage the site ensuring customer standards are understood by the team, quality standards are to customer specification and yield targets are achieved. Along with ensuring that all the departmental employees are engaged with our customer’s standards, the team and site and that all H&S standards and proactive improvement are always made a priority.
As Operations Manager you will be expected to:
* Support the Production and CI Manager in leading up to 200 staff across 4 shifts.
* Plan and monitor daily/weekly labour & equipment requirements identifying any shortfalls/overages & develop and implement an appropriate response in order to increase productivity and/or make cost savings.
* Monitor the ongoing progress of the operation, liaising with supervisors and other departments as necessary to alleviate problem areas & resolve production problems.
* To ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any un-safe working practice & taking appropriate action to remedy.
* Achieve planned production, driving service and maximising labour to achieve results.
* Liaise daily with the management across site to establish plans and implement them effectively.
* Review & develop your direct reports & team to improve their performance against standards & targets, ensuring that both site and all shift personnel are equipped to deliver against all expectations.
About You:
To excel in this Operations Manager role, you will need to demonstrate:
* Experience within the food industry, preferably chilled / high-risk products.
* Strong people management, leadership & coaching skills. Being able to motivate, engage and develop a team.
* Experience in delivering production plans within a fast-moving environment.
* Effective communication across all levels with a flexible attitude & approach.
* Ideally be IOSH and Level 3 Food Safety qualified.
