This is a high-impact role at the heart of Thames Water’s energy operations, driving strategic energy budget management and critical month-end financial reporting. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business, including finance operations, energy reporting, and key external suppliers, ensuring seamless financial performance.
As a Senior Energy Budget and Billing Lead within the commercial energy team, you'll play a pivotal role in optimising billing validation and energy supply contract operations, supporting and providing the team with your expertise and knowledge to make informed decisions.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in the office per month.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Energy Budget & Billing Lead
* Preparing and delivering monthly reports on the annual energy budget.
* Managing and delivering the fiscal energy budget planning for Thames Water Utilities Limited (TWUL).
* Understanding energy pricing structures, including tariff components, for budgeting and to assist the bill validation team.
* Managing and updating the energy database to ensure accurate record-keeping and analysis.
* The role will require analytical skills and a strong grasp of the energy industry and regulatory schemes with database management expertise.

* Be an organised and practical individual.
* Significant energy industry experience.
* Previous budget experience is preferred.
* Experience of compiling energy budgets.
* Ability to manage large databases/data sets.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Good people skills, strong communicator and people management abilities.
